Share return calculator

Enel provides its shareholders with interactive instruments to calculate the value of the shares they detain:

• the simple calculation shows the present value of shares held;
• the calculation of TSR shows the internal rate of return of an investment in Enel shares purchased in a x date and sold in a y date.

The calculation of TSR took account of the following events:

• 19 June 2000: distribution of a dividend of € 0.24 per share;
• 2 November 2000: allocation of bonus shares equal to 5% of the number of shares purchased in the initial public offering and held without interruption for one year;
• 18 June 2001: distribution of a dividend of €0.26 per share;
• 24 June 2002: distribution of a dividend of €0.36 per share;
• 23 June 2003: distribution of a dividend of €0.36 per share;
• 21 June 2004: distribution of a dividend of €0.36 per share;
• 22 November 2004: distribution of an interim dividend of €0.33 per share.
• 20 June 2005: distribution of a dividend of €0.36 per share;
• 27 October 2005: allocation of bonus shares on shares purchased in the third Enel public offering (27 October 2004) and held without interruption for one year, with the following procedure:
  • equal to 5% to the general public;
  • equal to 8% for those who received bonus shares related to the IPO and at the time of Enel 3 subscription hold at least 250 shares;
• 21 November 2005: distribution of an interim dividend of €0.19 per share.
• 19 June 2006: distribution of a dividend of €0.44 per share.
• 7 July 2006: allocation bonus shares on shares purchased in the Enel 4 public offering (7 July 2005) and held without interruption for one year, with the following procedure:
  • equal to 5% to the general public;
  • equal to 7% in certain cases, in particular for those who received bonus shares related to the IPO and at the time of Enel 4 subscription hold at least 250 shares;
• 20 November 2006: distribution of an interim dividend of €0.20 per share.
• 18 June 2007: distribution of 0.29 € per share as a settlement on 2006 results (total amount of 0,49 € per share).
• 19 November 2007: distribution of an interim dividend of €0.20 per share.
• It is assumed that the above dividends are reinvested in Enel shares at the ex dividend date.
• 23 June 2008: distribution of 0.29 € per share as a settlement on 2006 results (total amount of 0,49 € per share).
• 24 November 2008: distribution of an interim dividend of €0.20 per share.

Remarks:

(*)The daily base price is calculated at end of session based on the average weighted price of the last 10% of shares traded.

The calculation takes into account the 2-for-1 reverse stock split effected on the Milan market July 9th, 2001. Closure on July 6th, 2001 was 3.617€ whilst the title opened at 7.2€ on Monday, July 9th.

With regard to the assignment of bonus shares, it should be made clear that in the prospectus:

• "section III, chapter XI, paragraph 11.9, letter a)" forbade the same holder to file more than one application to one or more Underwriters;
• "section III, chapter XI, paragraph 11.8, letter a)" specified that holders in whose name were found more than one application to one or more Underwriters would not be entitled to the assignment of bonus shares.
