NRG Energy, Inc. (NYSE: NRG) and Enel North America, Inc., a subsidiary of Enel Green Power, the renewable power company of Enel S.p.A., have closed an agreement for the sale of NRG’s land based wind development company, Padoma Wind Power LLC (“Padoma”), to Enel North America (ENA).

Officials at Enel North America, Inc. (ENA) continue an investigation to determine what caused a turbine at the Fenner Wind Farm, located outside of Cazenovia, NY, to fall over early Sunday morning, December 27.

Enel North America, Inc. said today that employees at the Fenner Wind Farm in upstate New York, owned by its subsidiary Canastota Wind Power LLC, discovered a turbine on the ground when responding to an outage at the site in the early morning of Sunday, December 27, 2009.
