Staying close to small businesses with Open Energy

The wholesale price for energy is that of the energy component and it is the same price at which Enel Energia buys electricity on the Italian Power Exchange wholesale market for resale to end customers. The wholesale market reference price is represented by the Single National Price (hereinafter PUN) determined on the Italian Power Exchange. This price varies on a monthly basis according to the final value determined by the arithmetic average of the PUN's hourly prices, which are determined in turn by the Energy Market Authority (GME); it may be split into Peak and Off-peak bands and it is published on the GME website. Once you have accepted the General Conditions and the contents of the GME website, you may consult the pdf files in the "monthly summary" section, selecting the month of interest.

The PUN (acronym for the Single National Price) is the reference price for electricity purchased on the Italian Power Exchange. The PUN represents the average value of the electricity cost for each hour and for each day on a national basis. The national figure is an average that takes into account the levels to which prices converge in the different areas of Italy and at different times of the day. It is usually reserved for large sector operators; however, you can pay for the energy component at the PUN wholesale price by adhering to the Open Energy offer and paying the monthly subscription fee for the supply plan chosen in your contract. Discover the value of your PUN is easy, just go to the site of the Energy Market Authority (GME) and select the "monthly summary" section at the following link. Once you have accepted the General Conditions and the contents of the GME website, you may consult the pdf files in the "monthly summary" section. Selecting the month of interest you will be able to verify you Peak and off-peak PUN (used for Smart and Green subscription) and the baseload PUN (used for Mono subscription). Simple and transparent!

The price of the energy component will continue to be equal to the PUN for the entire duration of the contract; the subscription renewal price (depending on the chosen plan), applied starting from the thirteenth month, is expressed within the financial-technical terms to which you would adhere. These changes will be indicated on the first invoice which references the applied changes.

Under the item ENERGY EXPENDITURE (A) you will find:
 

•  "Energy peak/off-peak hours” in the case of a dual-tariff supply contract or “Mono energy” in the case of flat tariff which represent the consumption expenditure for the reference period, net of taxes and VAT.
• "Other energy component charges" which includes the fixed supply contract fee and dispatching costs, net of taxes and VAT.

Under ENERGY EXPENDITURE you will find: 
 

• "Total energy peak/off peak hours" in the case of a dual-tariff supply contract or “Total mono energy” in the case of flat tariff including grid losses, net of taxes and VAT.
•  "Other energy component charges" which includes the fixed supply contract fee and dispatching costs, net of taxes and VAT.

In the detailed invoice, the "Energy expenditure" section shows the offer price, consisting of a variable part (thereafter the "energy component") equal to the PUN and a fixed part equal to the amount of the supply plan (thereafter "subscription fee")  chosen in your contract. In particular:

The Energy component

For the double time offers Smart and Green, the energy component will consist of: peak hours energy expressed in € / kWh, excluding VAT and taxes, where the price of energy is equal to the value of the arithmetic average of the hourly PUN quotations during peak hours (from 08:00 to 20:00 in the days from Monday to Friday of the reference month as determined by the GME and Energy Out of Peak Hours, expressed in € / kWh, excluding VAT and taxes, where the price is equal to the value of the arithmetic average of the hourly prices of the PUN during off-peak hours (from 20:00 to 08:00 on Mondays to Fridays and from 00:00 to 24:00 on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays) of the reference month as determined by GME.

For the Monorary offer the energy component will consist of: energy Month expressed in Euro / kWh, excluding VAT and taxes, equal to the monthly arithmetic average of the PUN hourly prices, as determined by GME.

Subscription fee
expressed in €/month, excluding VAT and taxes; it is equal to the monthly fee defined for the supply plan chosen in your contract. Further costs shall be charged related to dispatching, transport, meter management and system charges, as defined by dall’ARERA (Autorità di Regolazione per Energia Reti e Ambiente)  and from time to time amended and updated. "Without constraints" means that you can change the type of supply contract (once every contract year), type of product or your supplier without any restrictions or costs. We want you to be happy as our customer!

With Enel Energia you are free to choose: you have the option to request a supply plan change in each contract year, at any time and without additional costs (starting from the activation/renewal of the financial terms). You can quickly and easily change the type of supply plan according to your needs by accessing the customer area dedicated to you, in the "Manage your offer" section. The plan change will be effective starting from the first applicable bill after the transaction request date.

With Open Energy Green you will be able to request the Green kit, a new communication full digital instrument that allows you to use the Enel Energia Green logo for your company communication and to customize your company social media channels with dedicated graphics. Once you will be active with the Open Energy Green offer, you just have to enter your data on https://www.enel.it/en/imprese/green-kit and in few hours you will receive the new Green kit!

Choose how to receive your bill. There are two options available: Bolletta Web or Printed Bill.  Bolletta Web: get the bill free to your email address. You will receive an email to confirm your email address to receive your bills. You will receive your first bill one month after activation (Bolletta Web or Printed Bill). And then subsequent bills are every two months. Only for power consuption above 15 kW the bills are emitted with the reference to a month of consumption.

Choose how to pay your bill and change payment method when you want.
You can pay through:  

• Postal account and credit card
  If you select payment by postal giro when applying, you can also pay individual bills by credit card through our Customer Area, or from any authorised Sisal and Lottomatica outlets.
  
  
• Direct debit from your bank account
  You will receive the bill approximately 15 days before its due date, so that you have all the time to check it. The debit date corresponds to the bill due date.
  
  
• PayPal
  With PayPal you can pay your bill easily and safely directly via Enel Energia Customer Area. You can issue the payment at any time from your PC, smartphone or tablet. Your data are safe, they won’t be disclosed to third parties and are protected by PayPal servers.
