The price refers solely to the energy component, which for a typical customer is:
- 10 kW power capacity;
- 10,000 kWh annual consumption.
It accounts for about 43% of the total cost of the electricity (VAT and taxes excluded).
This price does not include the charges for dispatching, transportation and marketing (including the A3 component covering the costs for incentivising the production of electricity from renewable and assimilated sources), which Enel Energia applies in amounts established by the Authority for Electricity, Gas and the Water System.
With regard to dispatching costs, these are divided into:
- Sites charged by the hour or with dual-rate tariffs
A dual-rate tariff is applied for electricity consumed at night or on weekends. The price is divided into peak hours: Monday to Friday (8:00 am to 8:00 pm), off-peak hours (8:00 pm to 8:00 am) and weekends.
- Sites not charged by the hour or with dual-rate tariffs
A single-rate tariff is applied.
The dual-rate tariff is also applied if the billing of the sites is changed from single-rate to hourly, or dual-rate, over the course of the two years, starting from the period to which the different consumption measurements refer.
