Dynamo bike, all of the energy of a coffee

“Pay with your energy, not your wallets!” is the slogan of the new French revolution that has arrived in Italy: in Rome it is now possible to get a coffee without spending a single euro. From 7 to 9 July just climb onto the dynamo bikes, located in Spazio Tiziano in Rome in the Flaminio neighbourhood, and start pedalling.

The initiative is called “Dynamo bike” because it uses special bikes capable of transforming pedal power into watts while raising awareness about renewable energy and promoting sustainable mobility, issues that Enel is focusing on promoting to tourists and holidaymakers during the summer season.

Launched by the Nissan Electric Café in Paris in December, in Italy the project has been made possible thanks to an agreement signed between EMC TV and Codacons, with the involvement of Enel, Nissan and the Paolo Rosi Sports Club in Rome.

The initiative also has the support of the Minister of the Environment, Gian Luca Galletti, who will be speaking at the press conference on 7 July at Spazio Tiziano. The offer is open to anyone until 9 July: for free coffee, just pedal.
