What is the Protected Service?

The Protected Service is aimed at domestic customers who have not yet chosen a seller on the free market. It is disbursed by the local distribution company or by a company identified by it. The economic (price) and contractual conditions are defined by the ARERA.

What is Gradual Protection?

This is the service envisaged by the regulatory authority for energy, networks and the environment (ARERA) and dedicated to small businesses (number of employees between 10 and 50 and/or annual turnover between 2 and 10 million euros) owners of withdrawal points in the low voltage (in the bill: BT) and micro-enterprises (fewer than 10 employees and annual turnover not exceeding 2 million euros) owning at least one withdrawal point with contractually committed power exceeding 15 kW which as at 1 January 2021 had not yet chosen a supply in the Free Market. What is the Free Market?

In Italy, as in the rest of the countries of the European Union, every consumer can freely decide from which seller and under what conditions to purchase electricity and natural gas for their needs. Whoever exercises this right enters the free market, where it is the customer who decides which seller or type of contract to choose and when to change it, choosing the offer he considers most interesting and convenient. The free market has been in force since 1 July 2007, according to the provisions of the Bersani Decree (legislative decree 79 of 1999).

The price refers only to the energy component (excluding VAT and taxes) and is blocked for the first 12 months. This price includes network losses which are applied as defined, published and updated by ARERA. The price refers to the marketing and sales fee (CCV Luce) which, for the first 12 months of supply, will be equal to € 120/POD/year (VAT and taxes excluded), from payable on a monthly basis.

Indicate if you come from a supplier of the Protected Market ("Servizio di Maggior Tutela") or of the Free Market and get a 35% or 20% discount on the list price of the blocked energy component for the first 12 months of supply!

Terms and conditions of the offer:


PRICE OF THE ENERGY COMPONENT BLOCKED AND DISCOUNTED FOR THE FIRST 12 MONTHS OF SUPPLY

Price of the energy component blocked for the first 12 months of supply. The energy component alone, including network losses, excluding VAT and taxes, represents approximately 60% of the total expenditure for electricity (excluding VAT and taxes) of a typical resident domestic customer with 3 kW of committed power and annual consumption of at 2700 kWh.
The discount on the price of the energy component will be 20% for a new customer who comes from another supplier on the Free Market or 35% if the new customer comes from the Protected Service. 


ENEL X 360 PLUS PROTECTION SERVICE
For you, the Enel X 360 PLUS Protection service is included at a cost of €4.90 per month for the first 24 months, which includes: two free repairs per year in the home, worth €500 each (VAT included); possibility of requesting repairs at discounted rates in the plumbing, electrical, gas, heating, air conditioning and climate control, locks and glass sectors; complimentary insurance coverage that reimburses the installments of the electricity/gas bill in the event of unforeseen events; a discount starting from 4% for the purchase of products on the Enel X Store to purchase products such as air conditioners, boilers and water heaters; Customer Service 7 days a week, 24 hours a day.


CLEAR CONTRACT
Enel Energia, with at least 3 months' notice, may communicate in writing the new economic conditions that will be applied upon expiry of the existing ones. If the Customer does not wish to accept the new economic conditions, he can withdraw from the contract by making use of a new supplier. The economic conditions of the offer are valid until 28/09/2023.
