Enelgreenpower acquires Padoma wind power from NRG Energy

NRG Energy, Inc. (NYSE: NRG) and Enel North America, Inc., a subsidiary of Enel Green Power, the renewable power company of Enel S.p.A., have closed an agreement for the sale of NRG’s land based wind development company, Padoma Wind Power LLC (“Padoma”), to Enel North America (ENA).

Enel North America, Inc. said today that employees at the Fenner Wind Farm in upstate New York, owned by its subsidiary Canastota Wind Power LLC, discovered a turbine on the ground when responding to an outage at the site in the early morning of Sunday, December 27, 2009.

Enel Green Power to develop over 4,000 MW wind pipeline in the USA with Geronimo Wind Energy

Andover, MA - Enel Green Power announced that its subsidiary Enel North America Inc has signed an agreement resulting in an equity investment and strategic partnership with Geronimo Wind Energy, LLC based in Minnesota. The two companies will cooperate in developing Geronimo’s more than 4,000 megawatt (MW) pipeline of wind projects in the upper Midwest and potentially other regions of the United States.
