The free market for electricity and gas allows customers to choose their own energy supplier and customize prices according to specific needs.
Switching to the free market is simple and free. Customers can change suppliers at any time, without supply interruptions or meter replacements.
In the free market, you can choose:

Regulated electricity supply service
The regulated electricity supply service is governed by the economic and contractual conditions defined by ARERA. For non-vulnerable domestic customers, it ends on June 30, 2024.
Vulnerable gas supply service
The vulnerable gas supply service for households and condominiums with domestic use supplies ended on December 31, 2023.
Starting from January 1, 2024, the protection service* is available for vulnerable customers, meaning domestic customers who meet at least one of the following requirements:
- Age over 75
- social bonus (Article 1, paragraph 75, law 124/17)
- Usage in an emergency housing structure
- Disability (Article 3, law 104/92)
* under the law n. 142 of September 21, 2022
If you are a vulnerable customer:
- Fill out the form for the substitute declaration (not necessary if you are already over 75 years old)
- Return it through one of the contact channels indicated in the form itself
If you have a contract with a free market offer and want to access the vulnerability protection service, in addition to the substitute declaration, you will also need to subscribe to the dedicated offer.
