Do you want to deactivate your supply?

All you need to know to turn off a power or gas supply

Disable supply

The deactivation of the supply involves the closing of the meter and also represents the manifestation of the will to cancel the supply contract with Enel Energia. It must be requested by the holder of the supply.

The supply will remain without electricity, but this does not involve eliminating the connection which can be restored in the future.

What to do to turn off the power and gas supplies

To deactivate the power and/or gas supply access directly:

  • the Customer Area in "Deactivation of Supply", in the "Services" menu, in the "Contract Services";
  • the Enel Energia App  in "Deactivate supply," "Contract services" box in the Profile section menu.
  • or request it from one of our contact channels.

By deactivating your supply for residential use from the Customer Area, you will be entitled to a €25 bonus for signing a new contract with Enel Energia from the enel.it website, within 12 months. The bonus will be sent with a code by mail and will be divided into the first bills, following the signing of an electricity or gas contract for first activation, takeover or seller change and cannot be combined with other ongoing promotions.

Times and costs for deactivating electricity and gas supplies

The deactivation will be forwarded to the territorially competent distributor, as he is responsible for the distribution network and the metering, who carries it out within the times established by current legislation. It usually takes up to a maximum of 7 working days for electricity and 9 working days for gas.

To deactivate the gas, it may be necessary to make an appointment with the holder of the supply or his delegate.

The cost for deactivation, which will be charged in your last bill, is equal to €23 + VAT, in addition to any fixed costs applied by the distributor.
