Enel Energia bills, everything you need to know

What is the Web Bill?

The Bolletta Web [Web Bill] is the free Enel Energia service that allows you to receive your bill straight to your inbox. Activate your web bill and make an environmentally sustainable choice.

All you need to do is enter your tax code/VAT number and the nine-digit customer number you will find in the top left-hand corner of your bill. After activation, you will receive an email asking you to click on a link to confirm your email address.

Check your junk/spam folder, as our email address may not yet be recognised by your account.

What is the customer number?

This is the identification number of each energy or gas supply contract. The customer number:

  • consists of 9 digits;
  • is printed in the top left-hand corner of your bills;
  • can be used for all telephone contacts with Enel Energia;
  • can be used for all telephone contacts with our Enel Space (direct and indirect);
  • changes if you switch to another supplier.
What are POD and PDR codes?

The POD (Point of Delivery) is a code used to identify the geographical point at which power is delivered by the supplier and taken by the end customer. It is usually indicated on the first page of the bill, in the supply data, together with the customer number and tax code. Or you can find it on your power meter display by pressing the appropriate button.

The POD:

  • always starts with IT;
  • is an alphanumeric code consisting of 14 characters;
  • may be 15 characters long, but it is sufficient to consider the first 14;
  • does not change even if you switch to another supplier.

The PDR (Redelivery Point) is the code that identifies the gas supply.

The PDR:

  • consists of 14 digits;
  • can be found on the first sheet of your bill in the top left-hand corner of the 'Supply Data' section;
  • does not change even if you switch to another supplier.

Details on the payment of an overdue bill

Bills must be paid by the date indicated on the first page. If this is not the case, Enel Energia may ask you, in addition to the amount due, for interest on arrears, which will be calculated according to the interest rate in the supply contract.

Late payment interest rate for residential power and gas contracts

In this case, the official reference rate TUR calculated on an annual basis and increased by 3.5 percentage points is used. For gas supplies with a protection product for the first ten days of delay, the customer is only required to pay legal interest, as provided for in the ARERA resolution no. 229/01.

Rate of interest on arrears for contracts to companies for electricity
In this case the "Euribor 1 month rate (base 360)" + 7 percentage points is used

Interest rate for late payment of gas contracts to companies
In this case, the official reference rate TUR, calculated on an annual basis according to the relevant market, is used:

  • Fui/default without protection= ECB+8%
  • Fui/default WITH protection= TUR+3.5%
  • greater protection = TUR+3.5%
  • free market = Euribor + 7%

Rate of interest on arrears for contracts to public administration
In this case it is the ECB reference rate plus 8 percentage points as stipulated by the LGS Decree  192/2012, in force since 1 January 2013.

Enel Energia may also ask you to pay the postal charges relating to the bill payment reminder.

What is a down payment bill?

A down payment bill is calculated on the basis of estimated consumption:

  • for electricity supplies, the power and reading history of the supply are taken into account;
  • for gas supplies, the supply reading history is used based on the periods of the year and the contracted volume year.

If the bill on account shows a higher reading than the one on the meter, you can request an adjustment yourself:

  • log in to the Customer Area, choose the supply on which to make the bill adjustment;
  • select “billing services: adjustment”;
  • enter the reading taken on your meter.

Or access the Enel Energia App, select the supply concerned and manage the adjustment under the relevant heading “Adjustment”, entering the reading taken on your meter.

In both cases, you will receive a new bill with the consumption you have reported.

Alternatively, one of our contact channels is at your disposal.
