FAQs

How can I view and manage my tariff plans or payment methods?

Use the navigation bar to access the “Account” section, then open “Wallet”. In the 'Public Top-up Tariffs' section, you can monitor the tariffs active on your account, change the tariff selected for your public top-ups, and view the other tariffs available to you.

In the “Payment Methods” section, you can use the steps below to manage your payment methods:

  • to add a new payment method, click on "Add a payment method +" at the top right or by clicking on the card at the bottom of the screen
  • to select a payment method, click on the corresponding card and then on “Confirm”
  • to delete a payment method click on the “Recycle bin” icon and confirm that you wish to remove it from the list

How and when do you pay for the service?

Payments for top-ups at public charging stations are charged to a credit card, prepaid card or PayPal. Each charge corresponds to the issue of an invoice. The billing intervals will vary depending on the tariff plan selected, as indicated below:

  • Pay Per Use Basic tariff plan: the invoice is issued and sent to the customer at the end of each charging session. This includes any charges for not releasing the socket at the end of the charge.
  • Pay Per Use Premium rate plan: an initial invoice is issued and sent at the time of subscription for the annual fee for the booking service. For charges, they are issued at the end of each session. Any charges for not releasing the socket at the end of charging are invoiced at the end of the charging session.
  • Monthly subscription (only available in Italy): the invoice is issued and sent to the customer on the day of plan subscription or renewal. The invoice includes both the fee for the reporting period and any extra costs due to exceeding the monthly threshold in the month just ended. The invoice is issued monthly, on the same day every month. Any charges for not releasing the socket at the end of charging are invoiced at the end of the charging session.

For large companies, payment will be made according to the terms of the business agreement.

What tariff plans are available for the public charging service?

Find out about the charging plans available here.

How do I cancel a subscription?

You will be able to deactivate your subscription in the 'Wallet' section; deactivation will consist of a plan change from a monthly subscription to the “Pay per Use” tariff plan and will apply when the subscription expires, until that date you will be able to use the remaining kWh, which cannot be accumulated for subsequent months.

What is a coupon and how does it work?

A coupon is a code that entitles the user to free charging through an amount of kWh with a certain expiry date. The user can receive this code directly from Enel X Way or other partners. The code must be entered immediately directly in the App before the start of the charge. Once activated, this amount will be valid with all subscribed tariffs except corporate ones. It is in fact automatically applied to charges following its activation. To use the coupons, it is necessary to have at least one tariff plan active, with the exception of Corporate. If several coupons are activated, the one with the earliest expiry date will be used first. Full details on the expiry date and the use of the coupon are available in the “Promo or Corporate Code” section in the “Wallet” submenu.

What is a Corporate Tariff Plan and how does it work?

This is the offer for companies that allows employees to top-up free of charge, apart from the charges for occupying the socket when the charging session is completed. These will be directly charged to the payment method entered in the App. To activate this offer, enter the activation code received from your company in the “Promo or Corporate Code” section that you will find in the “Account” section within “Wallet”.

Who can benefit from the charging discount using the Enel On Your Way App?

The top-up discount is reserved for all customers with an active Power supply contract with Enel Energia. If you are already an Enel Energia customer with a Power contract, you can access special and discounted offers directly from the Enel On Your Way App. If you become an Enel Energia customer or decide to change your power offer after 28 October 2024, you can access the discounted offers if you activate one of the following power offers:

How can I check if I am eligible for the discount on public charging rates?

Use your profile to access the Enel On Your Way App and click on the information banner in the Wallet to view the discounted tariffs. Authorise the verification of your data and, if it turns out that you have an active power contract with Enel Energia (Enel Fix Luce or Enel Luce Flex, if you become an Enel Energia customer or if you decide to change your light offer after 28 October 2024, otherwise any power offer), you can automatically see the discounted tariffs and choose the one that suits you best.

Can I benefit from the discount if I am a new Enel Energia customer?

Yes, you can access the discount if you become an Enel Energia customer after 28 October 2024, provided you activate one of the following power offers:

After activating the contract, access the Enel On Your Way App with your profile, click on the information banner in the Wallet to view the discounted rates and authorise verification of your data. You will receive a notification on the Enel On Your Way App confirming access to the discounted catalogue.

If I am not an Enel Energia customer, can I access discounted offers?

No, the discount offers on public charging service tariffs are only available to Enel Energia customers with an active power contract.

What happens if I am no longer an Enel Energia customer?

If you are no longer an Enel Energia customer, you will lose access to the discounted rates for the public charging service on the Enel On Your Way App. Your discounted tariff will be automatically upgraded to full price on the monthly expiry date, or you can choose a new tariff before its renewal at full price. The discounted tariffs will no longer be visible in the Wallet, and in order to access the discounted offers again, you will have to reactivate a power contract (Enel Fix Luce or Enel Luce Flex) with Enel Energia.

If I activate a contract with Enel Energia, do I have to verify my tax code again to access the discount?

No, if you have previously clicked on the information banner in the Wallet to view the discounted rates and authorise verification of your data once your power contract with Enel Energia is active, you will receive a notification on the Enel On Your Way App. You will then be able to directly access the discounted rates without having to check your tax code again.

I signed up for a power tariff with Enel Energia after 28 October 2024, but the app says I am not eligible for the offers. How come?

If you become an Enel Energia customer after the offer has been launched, you can only access the discounted offers if you activate one of the following offers: Enel Fix Luce or Enel Luce Flex. The offer must also be active. If you have subscribed to it and it has not yet been activated, you must wait for the tariff to activate. Once activated, you will receive a notification on the Enel On Your Way App confirming access to the discounted catalogue.

I see on the app that my discounted rate is expiring, why is this?

If you are no longer an Enel Energia customer, you will lose access to the discounted rates for the public charging service on the Enel On Your Way App. Your discounted tariff will be automatically upgraded to full price on the monthly expiry date, or you can choose a new tariff before its renewal at full price. Discounted tariffs will no longer be visible in the Wallet, and you will have to reactivate a power contract with Enel Energia to access the discounted offers again.
