Enel Sole Assicurato Policy

Enel Sole Assicurato Policy

REVO Insurance S.p.A.'s policy, valid for five years if purchased by 15 May 2025, reimburses you each year if there has been less sunshine in your municipality than in previous years.

USEFUL INFORMATION ON THE POLICY

What does it cover?

Enel Sole Assicurato reimburses customers who have a photovoltaic system that, due to bad weather, does not produce the expected amount of energy.

This value, known as the threshold, is calculated on the basis of the average solar radiation intensity, recorded over the last 20 years, in the municipality where the system is installed.

The data is provided by an independent third party, namely the certified body Oracle. For this policy, our Oracle is SoDa (more information available - to date - at the following link: https://www.soda-pro.com/help/helioclim/helioclim-3-overview).

When is the policy activated?

The policy will be valid from the connection of your system to the grid. At the time of the activation of the policy, you will receive the threshold value calculated for your municipality.

How does it work?

Each year, solar radiation in the municipality where you have installed your photovoltaic system is monitored and a radiation index* is calculated. At the end of the 12 months, the radiation index is compared with the threshold defined in the policy: if the index is below the threshold, you will be reimbursed!

Example: if the annual radiation measured in your municipality is 1,353,366 GHI and your threshold is 1,400,139 GHI, you will receive a refund.

How will you be reimbursed?

The refund is automatic! A notification email will be sent to you, in which you will find a link where you can enter your bank details to receive payment.

What is the redemption value

The reimbursement is calculated according to the size of your system. See the table below for the corresponding values:

Size Customer Reimbursement (Annual)
2 kW 85 €
3 kW 128 €
4 kW 171 €
6 kW 256 €
8 kW 342 €
10 kW 428 €
15 kW 684 €
20 kW 856 €

Useful info

*Radiance at the monitored location is measured by means of a specific index (GHI). The GHI index (Wh/m²) indicates the total amount of solar radiation received on a horizontal surface, taking into account both direct sunlight and light diffused from clouds and the atmosphere. The index is calculated on the basis of data transmitted by the Oracle (SoDa). For more details, see the annexes. (Source: Enel Sole Assicurato Collective Policy Document Insured).
