How do I purchase and use a physical RFID card?
You can purchase one or more RFID cards via the App. Just follow these simple steps:
- Select the “Account” icon from the navigation bar
- Select “Waycard”, then “Order a new Waycard”.
- Enter the billing address and the address where you would like to receive the card
- Select the payment method already registered in the Wallet or add a new one to make the purchase. Cards cost €16.00 (VAT included). Click on “Purchase”.
When you receive your card, remember to pair it with your Enel X Way account:
- Access the “Activate your Waycard” section
- Enter your card code
Now you are ready to charge by placing the physical card on the charging station reader. Charging costs will depend on the tariff plan selected in your Wallet. If you are an employee, please reach out to your company contact person and follow the same steps for card pairing in the App.
You can also authorise home charging on your Waybox using the same Waycard .
What is the difference between an RFID card and a digital card?
You can purchase an RFID card using the App. The card allows you to start public and private charging operations without using the App. The digital card is free of charge and can be used directly within the App.
How do I activate and use my digital RFID card?
With Android devices, the App can be used to activate a digital card, free of charge, and to start and stop charging operations simply by activating the NFC on your smartphone and bringing it up to the charging outlet reader. Charging and payment are applied according to your account settings - Wallet section.
To activate:
- Select the “Account” icon from the navigation bar
- Select “Waycard” then click on “Configure your digital card”.
I have lost my RFID card, what should I do?
If you have lost your RFID card, ask for support by calling the toll-free number you will find under “Report a problem” in your account by clicking on the “Support” icon, or by writing to e-mobility@enel.com.
