What is e-monitor?

With e-monitor, Enel Energia's new free home consumption monitoring tool, it is now possible to have more control over your home's energy consumption. 

e-monitor provides you with a dashboard to consult and to keep track of the appliances in your home, with details of current consumption and the possibility of comparing your energy use with that of the previous year1.

e-monitor can also make your life easier with practical tips and advice on how to save energy. You will also be able to compare your electricity consumption with local supplies2 with similar consumption, and to know how efficient you are.

With the new free e-monitor tool, you can make the best use of home appliances because it gives you the possibility to monitor them and see their consumption over time.

e-monitor is a concrete support that will help you optimise and improve your energy use. The practical, intuitive interface will enable you to easily understand many aspects of electricity use in your home throughout the year.

How does e-monitor work?

By monitoring the consumption of the household appliances in your home, you can be more aware of your habits and have a smart, easy-to-use tool to better understand how to save on your consumption.

With e-monitor, it only takes a few minutes to create your customised profile by answering a few simple questions about your consumption habits and the type of equipment you have in your home. This will immediately give you a complete overview of the improvements you can make to reduce your energy consumption, while at the same time giving you the concrete value of how much you could save by adopting the suggested tips.

With e-monitor you can:

• understand which appliances have the greatest impact on your consumption;

• have an overview and history of the energy component3 expenditure and consumption (available soon);

• compare your energy consumption with that of other households in your area2 with consumption similar to yours and who, like you, have completed their own customised profile;

• receive practical tips and an estimate of how many kWh you could save to help you rationalise your consumption.

What are the advantages of e-monitor?

Knowing how much your appliances consume helps you to be more aware of your consumption habits and make a difference by making small changes. This will help you to build a better relationship with your energy and use it to the best advantage.

Using our tips, you can find out how much your air conditioner, dryer and TV consume, helping you to identify where to intervene in order to save on your consumption. We will also provide you with information on how much energy you need to recharge your electric car and how you can produce it, e.g. by using a photovoltaic system or a new accumulator.

Start monitoring your consumption with e-monitor

Understanding and improving your consumption habits is easy thanks to e-monitor, a tool you can rely on at all times to keep your home energy under control.

To consult e-monitor, available free of charge to all Enel Energia customers who have activated a home power offer, simply access your personal account directly from the Customer Area of the enel.it website. If you have a 2G meter, simply select the details of one of your active supplies, click on "Consumption monitoring" and then on "Enter now". If, on the other hand, you have a 1G meter, you can do this by clicking on 'Discover your consumption' on the Supply Card. It is important to remember that in order to be able to use e-monitor, whether you have a 2G or 1G meter, you must give authorisation for the service when you first access it.

You can also do this from the App, click on the card of the supply concerned and choose Services and then the e-monitor button, or go to the Consumption section (always inside the card) and choose the e-monitor service inside the blue box.

In this way, you will have access to a customised dashboard to interact with, as well as an overview of your consumption per appliance and an opportunity to better manage your energy.

1. Comparisons with the previous calendar year are only available for periods when the customer is served by Enel Energia for the relevant supply. If you became an Enel Energia customer after 1 January of the previous year, the comparison will be available from the activation date of your supply with Enel Energia.
2. The term zone refers to a geographical area that includes supplies belonging to your municipal area or city; remember that in some cases a larger area (several municipalities or several cities) may also be taken into account.
3. Expenditure on the energy component of kWh consumption. Taxes, VAT and other contractually agreed standing charges applied in the bill are excluded.
