Once the vehicle purchase has been completed, an Enel consultant will contact you again to define the most suitable power offer and organise the inspection for the Waybox installation. You do not have to coordinate with different suppliers: everything goes through a single point of contact.
Charging at home costs less than half compared to filling up. According to an Adiconsum analysis published in May 2025, which compares the costs per 100 km on electric models of different categories, with domestic charging (estimated at €0.30/kWh) the cost stands between €3.96 and €4.29 per 100 km, compared to €7.59–10.97 for petrol and €7.11–8.70 for diesel.
Added to this are structurally lower maintenance costs: electric vehicles do not require oil changes, filters, spark plugs or timing belts. For the first 5 years from purchase, you also benefit from exemption from payment of car tax.
Adding car charging to domestic consumption involves an increase in the power bill, the extent of which depends on the vehicle model, monthly mileage and charging habits. The most effective way to contain this impact is to charge at home in the lower-rate time bands, typically during night-time hours.
Thanks to ARERA Resolution 541/2020/R/EEL, until 30 June 2027 it is also possible to charge with a power of approximately 6 kW at night and on holidays without having to request a power increase from your supplier, and therefore without incurring additional fixed costs. Waybox, managed through the Enel On Your Way app, allows you to schedule charging sessions at the most convenient times without having to think about it every time.
Most daily charging takes place at home, in the evening or at night: you connect the car to the Waybox when you return and find it charged in the morning. There is no need to plan, no need to find a charging station: it works like charging any other device.
For longer trips or situations away from home, Enel X Way provides a network of over 60,000 public charging points in Europe. Through the Enel On Your Way app, it is possible to find the nearest charging station, check its availability in real time and start the session without physical cards.
One of the main barriers to switching to electric is not the cost, but the perceived complexity: finding the vehicle, choosing the energy supplier, installing the Waybox, understanding how public charging works.
With Enel Drive, these steps are already integrated. Choose the vehicle from the Renault or Arval showcase, subscribe to the dedicated power offer and the Waybox is installed at your home by Enel technicians. Daily charging can be scheduled during night-time hours via app. For charging away from home, there is the app. An Enel consultant is available at every stage to support you.

After requesting a quote on enel.it, an Enel consultant calls you back to illustrate the offer and identify the nearest Renault dealer. The dealer will then contact you again to explore the details of the car and schedule an appointment.
Once the vehicle purchase has been completed, an Enel consultant will contact you again to propose subscription to the power offer. If you have chosen the offer with Waybox, a partner technician will call you back for the inspection and installation.
