Choosing an electric car is a decision that involves several aspects together: the vehicle, charging at home, costs in your bill, daily management. With Enel Drive, you do not have to put these pieces together yourself. Car, Waybox on a free loan for use and dedicated power offer are part of a single coordinated solution, available for private individuals and professionals with VAT number.

And from today, the Enel Drive offer expands: alongside the long-term rental solution in partnership with Arval, there is also a collaboration with Renault, offering brand solutions also in a purchase solution.

How the offer between Enel and Renault works concretely

The integrated offer between Enel and Renault is a complete proposal that combines three components designed to work together from day one:

Renault electric vehicle

Choose the model from the Enel Drive showcase, which includes electric cars and electric quadricycles such as the Mobilize Duo, which can also be driven without a driving licence.

Dedicated Enel Drive Flex Luce power offer

The power offer designed for those who charge at home.

Waybox on a free loan for use

The Enel X Way Italia domestic charging station, installed within 10 metres of the meter, included at no additional cost for the entire duration of the power contract.

Once the vehicle purchase has been completed, an Enel consultant will contact you again to define the most suitable power offer and organise the inspection for the Waybox installation. You do not have to coordinate with different suppliers: everything goes through a single point of contact.

How much it really costs to switch to electric

Charging at home costs less than half compared to filling up. According to an Adiconsum analysis published in May 2025, which compares the costs per 100 km on electric models of different categories, with domestic charging (estimated at €0.30/kWh) the cost stands between €3.96 and €4.29 per 100 km, compared to €7.59–10.97 for petrol and €7.11–8.70 for diesel.

Added to this are structurally lower maintenance costs: electric vehicles do not require oil changes, filters, spark plugs or timing belts. For the first 5 years from purchase, you also benefit from exemption from payment of car tax.

How much charging affects the bill

Adding car charging to domestic consumption involves an increase in the power bill, the extent of which depends on the vehicle model, monthly mileage and charging habits. The most effective way to contain this impact is to charge at home in the lower-rate time bands, typically during night-time hours.

Thanks to ARERA Resolution 541/2020/R/EEL, until 30 June 2027 it is also possible to charge with a power of approximately 6 kW at night and on holidays without having to request a power increase from your supplier, and therefore without incurring additional fixed costs. Waybox, managed through the Enel On Your Way app, allows you to schedule charging sessions at the most convenient times without having to think about it every time.

Where and how to charge in everyday life

Most daily charging takes place at home, in the evening or at night: you connect the car to the Waybox when you return and find it charged in the morning. There is no need to plan, no need to find a charging station: it works like charging any other device.

For longer trips or situations away from home, Enel X Way provides a network of over 60,000 public charging points in Europe. Through the Enel On Your Way app, it is possible to find the nearest charging station, check its availability in real time and start the session without physical cards.

A complete solution, without managing everything yourself

One of the main barriers to switching to electric is not the cost, but the perceived complexity: finding the vehicle, choosing the energy supplier, installing the Waybox, understanding how public charging works.

With Enel Drive, these steps are already integrated. Choose the vehicle from the Renault or Arval showcase, subscribe to the dedicated power offer and the Waybox is installed at your home by Enel technicians. Daily charging can be scheduled during night-time hours via app. For charging away from home, there is the app. An Enel consultant is available at every stage to support you.

Purchase or financing: the formulas added with Renault

The partnership with Renault expands the purchase methods provided by Enel Drive, adding to long-term rental also:

Direct purchase
Financing with Mobilize Financial Services
Guaranteed future value

Payment in a single solution at Renault dealers participating in the initiative.

Possibility of purchase in instalments, subject to approval by Mobilize Financial Services. For the Mobilize Duo quadricycle, financing starts from €49/month.

Renault financial formula with a duration from 36 to 48 months depending on the model, which allows you to always drive an updated vehicle with freedom of choice at expiry.

Also for professionals with VAT number

The offer is available for private individuals and professionals with VAT number. The Renault showcase also includes 2 electric commercial vehicle models designed for those who also use the vehicle in their professional activity.
