for exclusive benefits

The Ricarica Flessibile service allows domestic customers who have a Waybox to participate in flexibility programmes launched nationwide by network operators* or energy suppliers**. Signing up for Enel X Way's "Ricarica Flessibile" service does not mean you have immediately joined a flexibility programme, but it does allow us to collect the necessary details to check your eligibility to participate in already active or future programmes.    

* An energy grid operator is an entity responsible for the operation, maintenance and control of the electricity grid infrastructure that transports energy from generation plants to end users.

** The energy supplier takes care of the purchase of energy and all administrative and commercial aspects related to the supply to end users.

A Flexibility Programme is an initiative (put in place by a grid operator or energy supplier) that involves remotely sending flexibility events (i.e. power variation commands) to charging stations enrolled in the Programme. This means economic benefits for the customer participating in the flexibility event and at the same time, better load management on the power grid, ensuring a more efficient use of energy.

To take part in the Ricarica Flessibile service, the customer must complete the form available at the following link. The details provided will allow us to verify their eligibility to take part in existing or future Flexibility Programmes. ​ ​

Once enrolled in the Programme, the customer specifies their vehicle’s charging needs (the initial battery level, the desired level at the end of the charge and the departure time) directly in the Enel On Your Way App. One hour before the start of a flexibility event, the customer will receive a notification in the App. The event will only be applied if it is compatible with the customer’s specified charging requirements (the vehicle will always be ready at the required time!). For the event to be applied automatically, the vehicle must be connected to the Waybox.

The economic advantages offered by the Ricarica Flessibile service are specific to each individual flexibility scheme and will be communicated in the relevant regulations. For example, this could include vouchers for electric charging to be used at public stations accessible through the Enel On Your Way App.

Using the Waybox and the Enel On Your Way App, we can guarantee that the flexibility event will not affect the charging needs specified by the customer. If a flexibility event is incompatible with the set parameters, it will not be applied.

If the customer decides to cancel a flexibility event, vehicle charging will resume according to the charging preferences set by the customer, and the flexibility event will not be considered as part of the economic advantage associated with the specific flexibility programme.

Subscribing to the Ricarica Flessibile service does not involve any cost for the customer.
