Billing Consumption Information

Know your consumption in detail

Billed Consumption

The amount of your bills to be paid consists in the following main items:

Costs for energy
It includes the costs of electricity and buying and selling activities carried out to supply electricity directly to your home. These are composed of a variable component, depending on the type of product chosen, and other fixed and variable amounts.

Costs for natural gas
This cost item is attributable to the sale and purchase activities carried out in supplying natural gas directly to your home. It consists of fixed and variable components, depending on the type of product chosen.

Network costs and general system charges

It includes the charges for the activities of transporting electricity/natural gas through the national transmission networks, local distribution networks, and metering activities; the fees for these services are set uniformly across the country by the Regulatory Authority for Energy, Networks, and Environment (ARERA), taking into account the costs incurred for these activities. This item also includes general system charges, related to activities of general interest, particularly for the electricity sector, supporting renewable energy sources.

Total taxes and VAT
These are costs collected by the electricity supplier on behalf of the State and local authorities.

Consumption details

Two variables mainly influence your bill: volumes and price.

Volumes: their value is reflected in all the invoiced items:

  • Energy/natural gas expenditure - the volumes are multiplied by the price of your offer
  • Network transport and management costs, expenditure for system costs, and taxes and VAT - these are multiplied by the management costs set by the regulations that do not depend on Enel Energia

Price: this is the one you choose directly when signing the contract and it affects only the energy / natural gas cost component.

You can find information about the billed volumes and the unit price of energy on the second page of the bill in the “Energy Receipt” section, under the item “Consumption Fee.” Additionally, you can view the details of your billed consumption by accessing the My Energy section in the Customer Area.

Estimated reading vs actual reading
In the absence of a real reading, your consumption will continue to be estimated and a recalculation of previous bills will be carried out upon receipt of a real reading. To ensure stability in the amounts of your bills, remember to send us the self-reading of your meter, if required by the type of meter installed.

You can find the details of the readings used to calculate the bill, on the third page, in the section «Letture e consumi».

FAQ

Why is it important to communicate the reading of the gas metre?

By regularly communicating the reading, if your metre is not periodically read by the distributor, the consumption profile will always be updated. In this way, even in the absence of an actual reading of the distributor, the bill will always be in line with your actual consumption.

Why do I still have to pay if the bill shows zero consumption?

The bill is calculated not only on the basis of consumption multiplied by the price of the raw material, but other expenses must also be included in the calculation: fixed quotas (such as system charges, transport and meter management costs).

Therefore, in the absence of consumption, as can happen for second homes, these quotas remain to be paid.

Where do I find my annual consumption?

You can find the summary of the annual consumption on the first page of your bill.

Do I have to report the payment of an expired bill?

If you have paid via the Lottomatica Servizi - Sisal Pay - authorised Coop points of sale - Cbill - CityPostePayment - Paytipper - or the Enel Energia website and App, you will not have to send any receipt. We will register your payment automatically! If you have chosen a different payment method, and have already received a registered letter/email of warning - a notice of the suspension of your supply - immediately check the payment status in the Bills and Payments section of the Customer Area.

What should I do in the event of a lost or undeliverable bill?

No problem - you can view the status of your bills by going to the Customer Area. From here, you can also verify your billing address and change it if necessary.
Also, if you have not yet activated the Bolletta Web service, do it from here.
