Sun, Wind, Water, and Geothermal Energy Directly to Companies

A physical PPA is a flexible, customisable, multi-year renewable energy contract that provides for the physical delivery of renewable energy from a specific Enel Green Power generation plant to the end user. Customers who subscribe to PPAs also receive Energy Allocation Certificates (EACs), which certify that the energy purchased comes from renewable sources. Physical PPAs can be structured in two ways: a three-way agreement between the retailer, the customer, and the renewable energy producer, called a sleeved PPA, or a full supply agreement from the retailer, called a full supply PPA. In the first case, the energy produced by Enel is physically delivered from the grid to the customer through an authorised supplier or retailer, while in the second case, the PPA is directly integrated into the customer's electricity supply contract.

What are the Advantages of a Physical PPA?

By enabling companies to procure from renewable energy sources, these agreements offer several benefits to businesses, including improved energy efficiency and reduced Scope 2 emissions, which support decarbonisation and the achievement of Net Zero targets.
