What does the gas bill consist of?

The price structure of PLACET offers, as defined by ARERA, is composed of a fixed fee (Pfix), expressed in Euro/PDR/year, and a gas raw material component (Pvol), expressed in Euro/Smc.

Specifically, the Pfix is fixed and unchangeable for 12 months from the supply activation date.

The Pvol, which varies monthly, is determined using the following formula: PVOL = P_INGm + α

where:

  • P_INGm: expressed in Euro/Smc, is the price covering the procurement costs of natural gas for the month, equal to the monthly average of the PSV price published by ICIS Heren in the ESGM (European Spot Gas Markets) report, under the “PSV Price Assessment” section. Values are converted into €/Smc using a conversion factor of 3.852/3.6/100.

  • α: expressed in Euro/Smc, is a fixed parameter, unchangeable for 12 months from the activation date, covering additional procurement and delivery costs of natural gas.

The price of the gas raw material component (Pvol) represents approximately 61% of the total gas cost (excluding VAT and taxes) for a non-domestic customer with annual consumption of 5,000 Smc.

For more details, consult the cost breakdown percentages in your bill.

How does the bill work?

The Enel Energia PLACET Variabile Gas Business offer includes electronic invoicing. By activating the BollettaWeb service, the electronic invoice will be sent directly to the provided email address.
