Circularity Report
What is it?
Sustainable cities are circular cities, in economic and energy terms. Enel produces a detailed analysis for public administrations, the Circular Economy Report, which identifies the current circularity level and proposes a roadmap of innovative solutions to increase it: a new tool that accompanies cities on their journey towards applying the principles of the circular economy in their territory.
The resulting reduction in CO₂ emissions improves quality of life and urban livability.
How Does it work?
Analysis of the level of circular maturity for the entire urban perimeter. Provision of a qualitative assessment of PA efforts and results in the application of circular economy principles, with a focus on the dimensions of energy, mobility, and waste, emissions.
Quantitative analysis dedicated to one or more public buildings to measure the application of circular economy principles in the areas of energy flows, efficiency and consumption management, and circularity enablers
Customised Roadmap
Based on analysis of the results of the circularity level, key areas for improvement are identified and prioritised in order to better target interventions and investments at both city and site level. Enel X proposes a set of innovative and integrated solutions that can improve energy performance and the level of circularity, indicating the main KPIs in terms of CO2, energy and cost savings for each of them.
Sensitivity Analysis
The last section of the Report illustrates the potential impact that implementing the solutions proposed by Enel would have in terms of circularity. Enel is able to measure the levels of urban circularity potentially achievable, guiding the municipality in an ongoing process of awareness and improvement
Why is it worthwhile?
